Tarefas

Page Title: The title of the page tells learners where they are. Course Title: Here's the title of the course, front and center. Learners will know they're in the right place right from the get-go. Navigation buttons: These buttons take learners to the main sections of the site. They should be on every major page. Why? Well-designed sites allow users to easily get to the main areas with one click. Page hyperlinks: These hyperlinks jump to specific sections of the syllabus, helping learners quickly get where they want to go. General Information: If you provide points for participation, this is where you would spell out what you mean by participation and how you determine the final grade for it. I like to let folks know I'm looking for quality over quantity, but that quantity matters too. And I'm up front about the fact that this is somewhat subjective. I also use this section to provide a link to the expectation I have for the caliber of writing. Assignments: Provide detailed explanations about what you expect for each assignment. Things to include: rubrics for grading, links to good examples, recommended resources, due dates, and information about how to get an assignment to you. You may also want to tell them how you will provide feedback and when to expect it. It also helps to list your policy for accepting late assignments and for giving incompletes. Learners in online courses often complain about insufficient feedback and unclear expectations. An easy solution: Overcommunicate! Grading: You may have provided this information elsewhere (e.g., you might have provided scoring information with each assignment), but here is a good place to collect it all together so that a learner can find it easily. Text links: A repeat of the navigation bar at the top. Your page may require the user to scroll down to see all of the content. This menu at the bottom allows the user to move to another section without scrolling back up. Copyright notice: The credit-where-credit-is-due department. Putting up a Web page is equivalent to publishing. Protect your rights and the rights of your institution appropriately.
